Digitisation and Copying Services at HALS

Does your project or group have lots of documents you’d like to store or share digitally?  HALS can help as they have special cameras and equipment which are designed to digitize books, maps and documents very efficiently.  We can also create digital copies of videos and slides.

Digitisation Services

Digitisation is charged at £36 per hour, plus the cost of a memory stick or CD.

Copying Services

Copying original documents up to A2 size
Per item, minimum charge, includes up to 5 images; reduced charge per image for subsequent images from the same item, supplied as jpeg: £10 / £1 per subsequent image
Per item, minimum charge, includes up to 5 images; reduced charge per image for subsequent images from the same item; supplied as TIFF: £20 / £2 per subsequent image

Copying original documents larger than A2 size
Per item, minimum charge, includes up to 5 images; reduced charge per image for subsequent images from the same item, supplied as jpeg: £15 / £1 per subsequent image
Per item, minimum charge, includes up to 5 images; reduced charge per image for subsequent images from the same item; supplied as TIFF: £30 / £2 per subsequent image
