The face of Redbourn Village Hall was transformed in 1949. On Friday 29th July, when this photograph was taken, the film to be shown was Humphrey Bogart in ‘Sahara’. After the facelift, on 11th November that year, John Heather draws attention to the programme of ‘Hopalong Cassidy’ and the main feature ‘Confidential’.
