When I was little, my mum used to take my sisters and me to the Embassy cinema at Waltham Cross. I remember going to see Jaws, I was only eight, and it scared the life out of me.

When Grease came out, I really wanted to see it. The queue to get in went right round the corner; by the time we got to the entrance, the cinema was full. I was so upset I cried all the way home.

Waltham Cross had so many shops. I remember it had two television shops. If you had a bit of money you could buy your television outright from Rumblelows, if you were not so flash, you hired your television from DER TV, to make the television work,  50p would have to be inserted into the back of the set.
