135 Field Regiment, Herts Yeomanry , "F" Troop

Service in Iraq

My Father, William Charles Welch was part of this troop and when War broke out he was transfered to the 97 (The Kent Yeomanry) Field Regiment, Royal Artillery. I know he was in Iraq, because I have photo’s of him in Basra. He died in an Italian Prisoner of War Camp in Sept 1942 and is buried in Benghzi War Cemetary. 

This photo was taken in 1939 Bedford Road, Hitchin

I have had the other Stevenage men indentified and they are as follows:-

        Gnr Ellis                7th left    2nd  row 

        Gnr. H Body           3rd  left    Back row

        Gnr. W.C.Welch      7th left    Back row

    Is it possible I could have a copy of this photo please, I have found out my uncle Harry Brown was also in F Troop in 135th Herts FA, from 1939.
