Christening at Pankhurst Crescent Church, 3rd September 1961

Church in garages at Pankhurst Crescent

I was very pleased to find a photograph of the converted garages where I was christened.  Apparently I was christened with another baby boy from the Chells area and would love to find out more about this.

  • I went past the church in the garage every morning from around 1959 until 1962 as my paper round was 1-21 Chells Way and 1 – 119 Pankhurst Cresent. I would cycle from Burwell Road with my paper bag 7 days a week for 10 shillings and collect the paper money on friday evenings.
