The current day market is operated by St Albans District Council and is firmly established in the city centre and runs the length of St Peters Street offering an excellent shopping experience to compliment the established retail stores, such as British Home Stores, T.K. Maxx and Boots plus many more

History of market

There has been a market in St Albans since Medieval times, a special Royal Charter was granted in 1553.
