Classic Car Meeting 2009
Shuttleworth Hall, Biggleswade, Hertfordshire
By Ian Phipps
My youngest daughter owns a 1962 Morris Minor and noticed there would be a large classic car meeting/show over the weekend and pleaded with me to go. So the family took off and unfortunately it started to rain almost as soon as we entered the main gate. It was still worth the visit, all cars had to be pre-1983 to qualify and what a huge range of vehicles – there were even beautifully maintained old commercial vehicles (vans and flatbed delivery trucks).
The North Herts branch of the Morris Minor UK Car Club were there and were very friendly and helpful. My daughter also managed to buy some very cheap oil for her car from an ex-customer of mine. (Classic Oils)
We had a fantastic time and as you will see from the photographs, if it had been sunny, everyone would have enjoyed it more.
