Most of the old rail routes survive today as walking and cycling paths owned and maintained by local councils and other partners.

Why not take a trip yourself and see if you can identify any Lost Rails landmarks? Free Leaflets and maps of the routes can usually be obtained from local councils, libraries and tourist information – alternatively you can download free copies using the links below.
