Trams in Waltham Cross

In 1904, the metropolitian tramway network reached Waltham Cross. The last tram ran in 1938, and the service continued with trolleybuses until 1961.

To me it looks like the terminus at Smithfield
Whilst the tram depicted is certainly going to Waltham Cross the photograph was obviously not taken there because there is a bend in the road in the background. The tram line in Waltham Cross ran dead straight from Hertford Road along the High Street and terminated just past the old Embassy Cinema there. A more likely location for this photo is probably somewhere around Edmonton Green.
