Recruiting in Watton at Stone

All that is known about the attached photograph is that it was taken in Watton at Stone.
The placard around the horses neck expresses the patriotic message “Ready for King and Country” and therefore suggests that this is part of a recruitment drive for the armed services, possibly before conscription was introduced in 1915.
