gazette memories

I was a reporter for the Hemel Hempstead Gazette starting as maid of all work in 1953. I finally left Christmas 1971. I was also landlady of the Red Lion, Water End for five years. I returned to journalism in 1980 at the Evening Echo in Cleveland Road leaving when it closed November 83. I moved to Oakdene Road, HH with my family in 1948 after schooling in Watford. I left on my marriage in 1957. Later lived for short times in Coulser Close, Gadebridge and later at 5 Achilles Close, Highfield for five years.

I would like to contact all former Gazette reporters. Also the lads at the ‘works’ opposite Gadebridge Park. It would be great to hear from you all.
