  • My family lived in and about both Broxbourne and Hoddesdon from 1950 to 1963. I know of the later address being number 1 McAdam Close/Hoddesdon. My older brothers and sisters would remember more. I was 4 years old when we re-located to Ipswich in 1963. I remember a Doreen Banks lady being fondly remembered, Bunty Cave & family and Miss Churchill (welfare lady) who lived on the Ware Road. I wish i knew more. Burford Street was definitely a name that rings a bell.

  • I attended Burford Street school from 1947 until 1949.
I would be interested to contact anyone who remembers me in Miss Brown’s class during that time.
