The Rockers at the Salisbury Arms

From a Hoddesdon Resident

On New Year’s Eve in the late 1960s or 1970s, the Rockers were leaving The Salisbury Arms and got into a bit of mischief. They decided to take a beacon from the top of the pedestrian crossing and climbed the Clock tower using the building below to climb up and by putting cigarette packets at the back they stopped the clock.
