Councillor Dave Hewitt took these pictures of the Tower Precinct being demolished in August 2012. The centre was built on the site of the Maidenhead Inn, which was demolished in 1964.
Having just discovered this site I found it fascinating. I was brought up in Broxbourne and attended St Francis School in Hoddesdon and have written my memories of Hoddesdon and the School which I will add to the site. I was stunned to see photographs of the Tower Precinct being demolished… at last. One can only wish that the old Maidenhead Inn would re-appear.
