This pub in St. Albans holds the Guinness Book of Records title for oldest public house in England.
It was originally a pigeon house which accounts for its octagonal appearance and its foundations date back to around 793.
Ye Olde Fighting Cocks can be found on Abbey Mill Lane and isn’t far from St Albans Cathedral.
