The middle of nowhere

I moved here from Letchworth when I was about 15 – so to me it was in the middle of nowhere! There were no buses and I couldn’t drive or anything. I didn’t go to school here but travelled to Letchworth for my last year there. My step dad has lived here for quite a while, which is why we moved here.

I can remember when I first came here they hadn’t done the park – it was just open ground with horses in the field. There were about six of us about the same age at the time and we used to hang about – at the gates of the church actually.

A community feel

I moved away for a little while and then came back. When I moved back I didn’t know anybody – it was all changed. It is lovely here though and now I’ve got my little girl it’s the perfect place to bring her up and the school is fantastic. It is nice that there is still a community feel – everyone looks out for everyone else.
