On Friday 27th July there was a national initiative to ring bells, of any kind, at 08:12am to mark the start of the Olympic games. The bell ringers of St Peters decided to join in before they went on their annual outing, this year to Norfolk. The ringers were David Rawlins, William Grimwade, Mark Hall, David Hall, Julie Grimwade and Susan Hall.
