Join us at Watford Museum for an exhibition of items which have been added to the collection in the last five years, many of which will be displayed to the public for the first time.
The exhibition will include works in a variety of different media, including pencil drawings, watercolours, photographs, textiles and oil paintings. Both historical and contemporary, these works provide a fantastic outlook into the various scenes and interpretations of Watford.
A talk on Watford Museum’s acquisition process and collection management will also take place alongside the exhibition on Saturday 8 February 2014, 2.30pm. Luke Clark, Collections Officer, will introduce the acquisition process employed by accredited museums and look at some of the collection management challenges faced by Watford Museum. A practical demonstration of object labelling and marking techiques will also take place.
