<p><p>"Alan French." Born in the Holloway Road region of Islington. Apart from a very brief stay in Abbots Langley wearing napkins in 1944, resided in Islington until 1950, when I moved to Belswains Farm House in Hemel Hempstead. This was my residence until 1964. I still live in Hemel Hempstead. l have worked for John Dickinson's, Addressograph and Lucas. Now retired. Over the years done a bit of amateur entertaining and film making. Have been a member of the Hemel Hempstead Movie Makers; formerly Hemel Hempstead Cine Society; since 1968. My longest running entertainment group was The Leverstock Green Players from 1979 - 2003. Partial to 1950's rock 'n' roll. One rousing chorus of '' Great Balls of Fire'' and I am anybody's. Done some writing plus other things. This includes six contributions to another history website, BBC WW2 People's War. I also note that I am not the only Alan French referred on this website. The other one, I see appears in the Geoff Webb Collection. I also met someone with my name during my early days at work. There seems to be a lot of us about. </p></p>
