This is my Mum - photograph taken at the back of the cottages (no longer there) in the High Street. Now 2 other houses built on site. Miss Whittakers shop was next door - my Aunt Min lived at 96? (I think) When I was 9/10 years old the Bolt/Allen families lived in the other cottages. Toilet was outside and I hated going as I had to run the gauntlet of John Allen's pet jackdaw that he kept in a cage and was sometimes out on a ledge !!
