So many books to choose from

Cheshunt Library was my first experience of a public library as a child and is still my local library nearly 30 years later. Memories of going through the archway to get to the children's library, there were so many books to choose from, I was always spoilt for choice.

Although the layout of the library has changed over the years, the building still maintains its character. The music library has moved from upstairs to join the main library downstairs and a computer suite has recently been added to the main library.  

The library was built in 1907 and was one of a number of libraries which was provided by a trust set up by Andrew Carnegie. Two additional parts were added to the original building to create more space, and the 'wing' on the right-hand side of the building now houses the children's library
