Alice Miles lived at Porridge Pot cottages, and is seen holding her grandson Kenneth Miles, c.1935. Alice's husband Fred worked at Harpendenbury Farm for the Taylor family in the '20's and'30's, and was a champion thatcher and hedge layer.
