'Alphabet Book', c1781
By Sue Flood

This book was compiled in 1781 for the use of John Calvert, Esq, Lord of the Manor of Furneux Pelham.  It contains a list of the manorial tenants arranged alphabetically, their place of residence with the amount of rent payable and details of the transactions in the court rolls which relate to their holdings from 1678 to 1781.

The third page displayed here lists the customs of the manor and any items of legal precedence upon which decisions were made in the manor court.

The bottom page displayed here lists the property held by the Charity School founded in 1754.
