St. Albans photo gallery

February 2010
By Richard Brockbank

I went to take some shots of the city and surrounds on 20th February 2010, arriving in time for sunrise.  It was -3°C — bitterly, miserably cold — but it was a fairly clear morning, so my shots of and from Verulamium Park, to the west of the city, came out quite well.

Later, it became very sunny (though still cold) and I took a few photos around the cathedral and one of the Clocktower.

If anyone has knows about which species of trees are pictured etc., feel free to post it and I will update the captions.

Photo:The cathedral bathed in sunlight, taken from the grassland to the west.
Photo:Front and side of the cathedral.
Photo:Front view of the cathedral. The photo looks slightly strange because this is made from two photos and the camera wasn't in precisely the same position when taking the shots.
