It was a proud day for 14 year old Wayne Henry, his family and Redbourn when he qualified to play in the British Open Golf Championship at Troon in 1975. Master golfer Seve Ballesteros passes on a friendly word of advice.

I played golf, less well, than Wayne at Redbourne in the early 80s. He never played in the Open but reached final qualifying. The photo here is from 1984 at st Andrews
