George Paul: A Life in Hertford

George Henry Paul. Born 28th June 1931.Born in Walworth Road, Kennington, South London.
Why write this? Maybe one day someone just might be interested in the memories of a child of a south London Family, before and during the Second World War, who moved to Hertford to live.
My Father was George William Paul, Envelope Maker Cutter, son of a Market Trader with a vegetable Market stall in London Bridge Market.
My Mother was Molly Louise Paul, Née Voysey, Envelope Hand Folder/Maker, Daughter of Louise Voysey, Sweet Shop Owner,  South London.
I am the second Son, with one elder Brother, John/Jack Paul, and one elder Sister, Patricia Molly Paul. (Jack was the eldest)
My Occupations during working life were as follows.
Lad Porter/Signalman, L.N.E.R. Hertford North Station and Stapleford.
Machine Manager, Apprentice and Journeyman/Printer at Simpson Shand, Hertford.
Interim two years of National Service with 222 Sqdn, Fighter Command, Royal Air Force, ThorneyIsland, Leuchars, Scotland.
Followed by Retirement, at  the age of 65, to Rochford in Essex, after working and travelling around the World as a Machinery Marketing Director.
