St Leonard's Church

St Leonard's church Flamstead stands on top of a hill, overlooking the Ver valley, visible to generations of travellers. Building for the current structure is estimated to have started around 1120. It became a parish church and was consecrated in 1223.

    God’s Acre is the cemetery in Singlets Lane, Flamstead, a few hundred yards from St Leonard‘s church. The land was donated by Sir Edgar Sebright in 1903 when the churchyard became full.
