Arrival

This year our theme for the holiday was Roald Dahl. The sixes were the Roly Poly Birds, the Mugglewump Monkeys and the Oompa Loompas.  The Brownies arrived at 11.30am and unpacked and made their beds.  The first activity was making Mugglewump Monkey name plates for the beds.  Then we went for a walk around the site (in the rain) to see where we were staying.  When we got back we made Roly Poly birds and started on Giraffe pencil holders.

The Wonka Drive

The highlight of the afternoon’s activities was the Wonka Drive, a very exciting activity involving a lot of shouting and much excitement to see who could be the first to draw a complete Wonka with the aid of a dice.  Top score was over 150!

Tea

Brownies help prepare the food on pack holiday.  The Oompa Loompas helped grate the cheese for Mrs Twits worm spaghetti.  Bruce Bogtrotter’s chocolate fudge cake was a popular pudding, followed by slightly less popular washing up.

After Tea

Evening craft, then the story “Giraffe, Pelly and me”, then bed!

  • It sounds like the girls have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and are making the most of it despite the rain. Nice to keep up with their diary. x
