Amongst the Wittewronge archives is a race card for a race meeting to be held at Brockett Hall. The map on this page comes from the Panshanger collection. It shows the whole Brocket Hall estate, and if you look carefully you can see the route of hte race course marked by flags at the start and finish.

Brockett Hall was the home of the prime minister, Lord Melbourne and his wife, Lady Caroline Lamb, famously a lover of Lord Byron.
