Loch Down Salmon Fishcake & Pasta Recipe

Only one saucepan.
Not the only thing allowed out.
A colander, like a strategy
Doesn’t hold water
Open the fridge like the first night of a play
Spotlight on the sealed salmon fishcake double pack
One for sorrow
Two for sorrow
Three’s a welcome crowd
Yesterday’s half used tomato sauce enjambment from
Last night’s supper
One fishcake on a tray in the oven, heat up sauce
Boil I Am Legend pasta
Add dried herbs, olive oil, garlic granules, poncy balsamic vinegar and Pinot Noir
(if you think you’re so special)
Return remaining socially distant fishcake to fridge for tomorrow’s meal.
Turn on the TV
Enjoy.
Turn off the phone – it won’t ring.
