Today is the first anniversary of the original lockdown – what we hoped would be the only one.  A year later we are still in the third lockdown although hopefully coming to the end of it.

The inoculation programme is going superbly well – 28m have had their first jab and over 2m their second.

There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel and I am due to play tennis for the first time in five months next Monday.

My circular walk through Ware Park is a delight with the arboretum covered in daffodils, almost but not quite a carpet of yellow.

On Ware Park Road there is a large damson tree in magnificent bloom.
