This amazing 15th century pedigree of the Kings of England from William the Conqueror to Henry VI, is illustrated with a portrait and rhyming verse for each King. The verses are by the poet John Lydgate, a contemporary of Chaucer. It is written on a parchment roll, and survives in the collection of the Halsey family, of Great Gaddesden held by Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies.
