The D-Day Landings

On the 10th June 1944 the 2nd Battalion Hertfordshire Regiment landed at Ver-Sur-Mer in Normandy for Operation Neptune, (part of Operation Overload,) which started on the 6th June and continued until the 30th June 1944.
The 86th (East Anglian)(Hertfordshire Yeomanry)(Hertfordshire and Essex Yeomanry) Field Regiment RA arrived in Normandy on D+3 day, and they then went onto move with the Canadians to the Battle of Caen in July.
