This is a photograph of Hitchin Railway Station taken in July 1881 by T.B Latchmore and Son.

Nearest the camera, Mr Pink who looked after the bookstall: behind him, on the stairs to the footbridge, Jack Webb, cab driver and licensee of the Coopers Arms; in uniform centre is Inspector Charles Fisher, and second from the left is the porter, Teddy Hayward.
