New names added to Cheshunt War Memorial
Cheshunt’s ‘Glorious Dead’ from conflicts since World War One were honoured on the town’s war memorial, when new panels were added to mark the sacrifices of the fallen. A commemorative service, lasting around 30 minutes, was held on Sunday 5 September 2010 at 12pm at the Cheshunt War Memorial, in Turners Hill, for family and friends of war heroes. The Reverend Jane Dicker conducted the service and the British Legion and Army Cadets were in attendance. Mayor Mark Mills-Bishop, Councillors and a Council Officer read out the names.
