Watercolour Images of Hertfordshire

Caroline Churton

The watercolour paintings shown here are just some of the numerous images in the County Views collection that is held at HALS (Hertfordshire Archives & Local Studies) in Hertford.

Many of the selected paintings feature local churches and some of the grand houses of the county, but there are also more general views of villages, towns and the Hertfordshire countryside. Quite a few of the paintings are undated, but others range in date from the late 18th century to 1927, with many having been painted in the early 20th century. They are shown in alphabetical order by location.

Is it possible to purchase a copy of this painting?
If so what size and what price.
    Thank you
