  • This photo is my dad( baby on left) and grandad Frank. the family did originate in Keevil,wiltshire, with Abraham collier douse 1845-?m Anne brind moving to the east end of London sometime before Henry George was born in 1873.2 generations before Abraham we have 2 Williams, one born 1776 and one 1806. Could these be your family connection?

  • Hi Vic, Thanks for your comments, but I am afraid I do not know any history of your family, only that they came to Redbourn from London during the evacuation of the Blitz in World War 2

  • Geoff, I am interested in learning more about the Douses you have posted. I am in Prince Edward Island, Canada. William Douse came here in 1822 from Devizes, Wilts. I am wondering where Frank’s line came from. Vic Douse
