Daphne Mills is seen at the time of her engagement to John Martin.
John was from Leicester, and following his marriage to Daphne they lived at North Common, Redbourn and later at Long Cutt.
John was an air gunner in Wellington and Liberator bombers in W.W.2 and won the D.F.M.
