I was evacuated from London 54 Duncan Terrace N to Watford and have no idea of the name of the school I attended or where I lived in Watford. Wherever I dont know would like someone to try to trace this terrible time. Thank you Olivia
This is interesting, because on the recent BBC TV series, “Great Railway Joirneys” it was said that many evacueees started their journey from Watford Junction. I lived in Bushey during the war years, and can not remember children being evacuated from the area: perhaps those shown had arrived on the electric trains which can be seen, and were transferred to the main line for a further journey.
