  • I was evacuated from London 54 Duncan Terrace N to Watford and have no idea of the name of the school I attended or where I lived in Watford. Wherever I dont know would like someone to try to trace this terrible time. Thank you Olivia

  • This is interesting, because on the recent BBC TV series, “Great Railway Joirneys” it was said that many evacueees started their journey from Watford Junction. I lived in Bushey during the war years, and can not remember children being evacuated from the area: perhaps those shown had arrived on the electric trains which can be seen, and were transferred to the main line for a further journey.
