The Cowthard’s home was at the Tom in Bedlam Public House in Redbourn High Street, just below the Forge.
Phyllis married Tom Austin, and lived at the bottom of East Common, Redbourn at The Sheepwash.
Although the original photograph was damaged, it was still possible to make a good copy.
