Jimmy was an ice-cream vendor, popular with Redbourn children and adults alike in the 1930’s.
Although possessing only one arm and a stump, he was able to fill cornets by trapping them under the latter while doing so. Most old villagers will remember him with his horse and cart regularly coming to Redbourn from Hemel Hempstead, not to mention the excellent quality of his ice-cream.
