St. Michaels Church was dedicated on 22 February 1908 and designed by Courtenay Crickmer, it was a mission church to St Mary’s Letchworth. The church developed their permanent site on Town Square between 1966-68.

The first St Michael’s church was in Norton Way South and was destroyed when the new church was opened on Town Square.
