The Minnis and Biggs families were neighbours and employed at Hammonds End Farm, Harpenden. Lily Minnis is facing the camera, and later married Redbourn lad Stan Hedges, while Kath Minnis on the right married her next door boy friend Terry Biggs. Both couples set up home at Bettespol Meadows, Redbourn.
