The Gravestock’s home was at East Common, Redbourn on the site that later became Heard’s grocery and sweet shop.

The front window of their cottage sufficed to display their small selection of groceries, but, being strict Non-Confirmists, the window was cleared on Saturday night, and replenished on Monday morning.
