This group of young dancers was called The Jolly Bunch, and was formed by the wives and friends of the Redbourn Home Guard members during the Second World War.  They gave concerts in the Village Hall and surrounding villages, with the proceeds going to Salute the Soldier Week, and other wartime charities.

Gwen Knight arranged the dance routines, and in later years taught dancing locally.

The chorus line, left to right: Jean Banham, Betty Hall, Gwen Knight, Gwennie Webb, Beryl Woodstock.
