A rainy day in Madagascar

Day 3

The rain did not stop the Brownies from having a good time today.  There are still plenty of things to do on pack holiday.  As well as the Wide Game in the afternoon, we did:

  • Potato peeling
  • Potato game
  • Making characters for our dioramas
  • Making King Julian crowns
  • free play time

During the Potato Game one brownie managed to throw her potato into the welly boot of another brownie which has never happened before in the history of this game.  In addition to yelling “chips” and “wedges” at appropriate moments, we can now also yell out “welly”.

For tea today we had sausages, mash, yorkshire pudding, carrots and brocolli followed by strawberries, meringue and cream.  One of the brownies nearly managed to squirt herself in the face with the squirty cream and everyone laughed.

The bedtime story today was “The penguin who wanted to find out” by Jill Tomlinson
