Life in Bengeo in Covid-19 Times, Part 4
Geoff Cordingley
It’s great to be able to meet friends in person in the garden. We enjoyed a BBQ with Richard and his family last Saturday in their garden in Digswell. We took our own plates and cutlery, and wine, of course!
Eloise, four years old, knowing that we couldn’t go in the house brought out some games and we played them in the garden! Eloise threw the die and moved the counters and we gave her our decisions about what we wanted to happen! Eloise loved it, but then she does enjoy being in charge!
After playing a little football and eating, Grace, seven, disappeared to create things with her Lego in her room.
A brilliant afternoon!
There’s a newspaper report of VE Day in London claiming “…..Crowds drank some pubs dry…” Perhaps that will happen when pubs reopen on 4th July!
