Thomas Duncombe

Thomas Slingsby Duncombe (1796-1861) was a radical Whig MP from 1826-32. He was a political rival to the Tory Dimsdale Family.
He was a controversial figure, and the elections in which heĀ figured were alleged to have featured corruption and violent intimidation.
He lost his Hertford seat in the House of Commons due to the 1832 Reform Act.
