August Monday 19th

Begun Harvest, George Burton and (his) son monthmen. 20 acres of Bansleys wheat good;other oats….Grissells Barley good, Stable Field ditto good, common wheat good. House’s beans and peas and oats good, First Park, beans, peas and some oats good, that’s all.

Saturday 25th

Not to market as busy binding in Bansleys as fine day. In the evening to Bramfield to Mr Bourchier’s about George. Drank a bottle or two of wine with him and Mr Lloyd there. Home merry!
