Geo Monro, Station Approach, Waltham Cross.
I am researching the history of Geo Monro.
From the internet I have found they moved to works at Station Approach in 1922 and in following years produced machinery including the Rototiller and Monrotiller, I have various examples of these machines in my collection. The original engineering drawings for these are held at Museum of English Rural Life, Reading.
It would be great to learn more about the works at Waltham Cross or any memories about working there etc. I can be contacted through Herts Memories

My grandfather, Cyril Dew worked for Monro’s after WWI. I think he was the brains behind the Monro tiller. A lovely chap – an early and important member of the RHS and an ingenious inventor.
